• We did not have a tablet/laptop controlling the show. We just used the 18R2 controller. We were not using the audio box. Deleting the cues step also deleted the audio of the show to the point of the shutdown. We had the music running on a much larger sound system and were able to time the edited show to start with the music.

  • Hello FInale Community,

I still continue t struggle to track my inventory across several shows. I have used the remaining inventory feature and that helps with usage.

My background in in electric wholesale supply. There is a method in this industry developed by the organization call NAED that has standardized inventory ID database. So a…Read More

  • Hello Drew,

I dd contact Cobra Firing and we were provided two options. 1) we could simply restart the script running and wait for the moment when the show was stopped. In this case, it was at the 14:32 mark of the ~19-minute show. The script would run and fire all the cues that had already been fired and when it reached the unfired portion, it…Read More

  • We had a situation among the spectators that caused panic. There was a rush exodus toward the exits and into the fallout zone. We were told by police to shut down the show with just about 3 minutes left in the script. Is there a way to restart the script at the point we shut down and finish the show for the customer on another night?

  • Hello DrewFinale,

I used the copy process you helped me with, but when looking at the Effects Window, the Remaining Available column does not reflect the effects that have been used in both shows. The remaining inventory starts with the same level as it did in Show 1. I understood if had 100 salutes and used 10 in Show 1, when I went to Show 2,…Read More

  • Thanks Drew, The tutorial is exactly what I need. One more question. If the firing positions are the same but they are in a slightly different layout, to fit the field for Show 2 for example, that should not affect how Finale copies the script, correct?

  • Hi Dirk,

I am not sure why I cannot paste from Script 1 to Script 2. When I right click on Script 2, I do not get a drop-down with any options, i.e. “Paste”

However, doing a “Save As”, saving Show 1 as Show 2 and moving the positions, could be a viable solution.

    Thanks

  • I have two shows on July 4th and I am building duplicate shows, but the field setup is different. These are pyro-musical shows with the same song lineup. I would like to copy the script with the firing timing of effects from Show 1 to Show 2. I know I can copy individual or a group of effects. But when I paste them into the new show, the times do…Read More

  • While I was at CobraCon I talked with a rep at the Finale booth who quickly showed me how I could see how many an item I had available from show to show.

For example, I am starting with 72 Dark Salutes in “My Effects”. In “$how 1” I use 22 salutes. I am ready to move on to “Show 2”. The “Available” column still shows 72 salutes available.  I am…Read More
