    Hello,

I am Ulises Tapia, pretty new on learning Finale3D.

I just finished a show and I´d like to create a light video for sharing to customer via WhatsApp. Does anyone know what are the settings to do so?

I´d tried already some ways but no luck yet. The videos I´get size above 100MB, so something I am missing.

I´d appreciate anyone can share his thoughts.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Ulises,

Finale 3D’s video exports tend to be fairly large because the software does not use particularly aggressive video compression.

One thing you can try is reducing the resolution from 1080p to 720p when creating the video. You can also reduce the frame rate, although I personally prefer keeping the frame rate higher for smoother motion.

If your goal is to send the video through WhatsApp, my recommendation would be to export the video from Finale 3D at good quality and then compress it using a free tool called HandBrake: https://handbrake.fr/

HandBrake is specifically designed for video compression and can often reduce the file size dramatically while maintaining very good visual quality.

Another option is to upload the video to YouTube (as an unlisted video) or Google Drive and simply send your customer a link. This is often the easiest solution for longer shows since WhatsApp has fairly strict limits on video size.

    Hope that helps!
