    Hi

    I’m having an issue using the Rack Window. It’s running so slowly it’s unsuable.  Everything else is running perfectly.

    I’m going to install an older version, as I’ve not had a problem previously, to get it to work.

    Is this a common problem that will be fixed or is there a problem at my end?

    Here are a couple questions to help us troubleshoot:

     

    1) Does your show include a Google Map ground image?

    2) Was the image added in an older version of Finale 3D?

    Thanks for the reply.

     

    Yes it has a Google maps ground image and also a modle of a building.  Both were added a couple of years ago, so yes in a different version.

    Hi Richard, thanks for the info – the Google Map having been added in a previous release of Finale 3D is the cause of the performance issue. Here are a couple options to resolve the issue:

     

    Option 1) Go to ‘Racks (menu) > Rack window settings’ and turn off ‘Enable ground image for rack layout view’.

     

    Option 2) Re-add the Google Map by going to ‘Scenery > Ground images > Set ground to Google Map’.
