Drew I sent another email about the script not looking right. I attached the files to that email. Just and FYI. Thank You

Thanks Drew. Totally overlooked the position descriptions. Very simple fix.
Thank You!

Your show is being addressed for StarFire even though Firelinx is selected in the Address Show dialog because your positions are configured to use StarFire. When a position is configured to use a specific firing system, that overrides the selection in the Address Show dialog. When using the same firing system/module type for an entire show (as I…Read More

Originally I was going to use Starfire to shoot this show but do to cutting the show down significantly I decided to use Firelinx to shoot it. However no matter what I change, It keeps wanting to export the script as Starfire. Even though I have all the addressing set with Firelinx. I don’t know what I need to change to make sure it saves as a…Read More

Sorry Drew, that didn’t come out right. I meant was there anything happening specifically with that idea of having a dedicated graphical positions window. I just thought that was such a great idea and the post was a few years old so was curious if it had any traction.
Ahh, sorry, I misunderstood. This feature is a g…

Welcome to the Finale 3D forum! To change the size of a position in Hobbyist, right click on it, select Edit position properties, and adjust the diameter. Note that the diameter is measured in meters. So, for example, if you want the diameter of a position to be 1 ft, enter 0.30.
Tip: You can edit the properties for any number of positions…Read More

A major pain point for me is working with multiple effects catalogs. I’d like to be able to open multiple catalog windows and copy/paste between them. This would be HUGE and seems like it should be simple.

I typically fire my shows from floating docks on lakes. I am having difficulty trying to arrange my positions when my entire shoot field is only 8 feet x 22 feet. When I space my positions at 2 feet apart they overlap on screen. Is there any way to adjust the field size smaller? I have gone down to the smallest camera distance of 1m but my pos…Read More

Thanks Drew!
The entire issue was that I had to sign into my MS account in order to even see the system file/activation.
I also found that unless I put exe files in with the MS file system files it would not work, ie, can’t just run /open the exe files from the download file location.
all kinda obvious now 🙂 -
