There are multiple ways to add firing positions to a model. For example, you can create a position on the ground and then drag it onto the model. Depending on the model, another option to add a position is to right click on the model and select ‘Add position at this point’.

When you drag a position to a model, it will automatically snap to the surface of the model. In most cases, the snapping works well, although sometimes you will need to manually adjust the placement or orientation of the position. If you right click on a position, you will find options to rotate the position and another useful option called ‘Move on axis’. This feature allows you to move a position in a specific direction which can be very useful when standard drag and drop doesn’t give you the desired results.

To learn more about placing and orienting positions, check out Racks and positions coordinate system: heading, pitch, roll.
