We had a situation among the spectators that caused panic. There was a rush exodus toward the exits and into the fallout zone. We were told by police to shut down the show with just about 3 minutes left in the script. Is there a way to restart the script at the point we shut down and finish the show for the customer on another night?

Hi EhrlichFire, this would be a question for the Cobra support team, have you reached out to them? I would assume there must be a way to start a show from a specific point, but I don’t know the process. Once you get the answer, post it here!

    Hello Drew,

I dd contact Cobra Firing and we were provided two options. 1) we could simply restart the script running and wait for the moment when the show was stopped. In this case, it was at the 14:32 mark of the ~19-minute show. The script would run and fire all the cues that had already been fired and when it reached the unfired portion, it would start firing them.

Or 2) we could go into FInale and find the exact spot in the script, based on all returned products, where the interruption occurred. Then delete all of the cues previous to interruption. Next copy the remaining unfired cues and move them to the start of the timeline. BY doing this we could start the show immediately instead of waiting the14 minutes for the script to run.

The secret to the 2nd option is to NOT READDRESS THE SHOW. This way all of the cues and positions remained labeled as it was originally, and we were able to simply reload the show and it ran and shot the remaining cues without a hitch.

    Thanks

I appreciate this is a bit late, but just wanted to add if you have a tablet atteched, either to an r2 or command centre, you can use the “jump to cue” function to jump forward 16 mins. This would also skip the audio to the correct place if using the audio box.

We did not have a tablet/laptop controlling the show. We just used the 18R2 controller. We were not using the audio box. Deleting the cues step also deleted the audio of the show to the point of the shutdown. We had the music running on a much larger sound system and were able to time the edited show to start with the music.
