Hi everyone, I'm Martin from the West Midlands, England. So a little about me and my world of pyro, I lit my first firework at the age of 4, then fascination just grew over many, many years, from small backyard shows "a box of fireworks and the occasional sparkler" to ever increasing scales of madness.... Back in 1993 I was given the chance to be part of a professional show at my local football ground and from there on I was totally hooked. From that first moment until now I have had the privilege to work on and be part of over 1600 professional shows and from 2017 I have had the incredible opportunity to move into the international world of pyro, working in places such as, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain, Vietnam, Philippines, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi. I first started using Finale 3d way back in it's infancy when I ran my own fireworks company, sadly that ended back in 2020 due to "you know what" but now a new opportunity has arisen so I find my interests turning more to the inner workings of shows such as pyromusical design but I still love getting my hands dirty, that will always be my main pyro love. It certainly is a massive learning curve from the first baby fountain so many years ago to working in Dubai for NYE but what an exciting journey it is and hope there will be many more years of excitement to come. Thank you to the Finale team and all they do and wishing everyone on here all the very best on their pyro adventures.
Congratulations to the winners, all three shows are stunning and wishing each design all the very best when they become a reality in August and shoot it out to become the 2025 PyroJam champions. Sadly mine wasn't up to the levels I had hoped but what a brilliant experience for me and all the creative designers that took part. Thank you Tim and Drew and everyone that made this unique competition possible.
Problem solved for the sky image, I hadn't oriented it in the right place, but I can't manage the water. Thank you.
Hi, I have a problem when I load an image for the sky background, it does not display. And when I try to place water zones, it doesn't work either : Can you help me please, maybe I'm doing something wrong. Thank you very much.
Hello, I would like to ask how to establish the effect of a slowly rising fireworks flying saucer( China is abbreviated as UFO;)), and how to establish the colorful smoke ball of a daytime firework shell( Rainbow auspicious cloud)。
I just installed the latest version and am not having the issue you're describing. Maybe check Show-->Show Settings-->Hide Trajectory dots when not selected.
Hi I've just loaded the latest release -- finale3d-installer-2025.03.30-47fdc4a12 -- and the trajectory lines for the fireworks are not showing. When you hover over a firework the position it's located at is highlighted but no trajectory line. I've looked for a setting to change this but unable to resolve the issue. I've reverted back to a previous version so I have functioning software. Is this a bug or a changed setting? Richard
Congratulations to all the winners! Absolutely amazing displays once again. And congratulations to Tim and Drew (and everyone else involved) for another year of this amazing and unique competition.
Competition Scores & Judging Feedback Our panel of judges, all professionals in the fireworks industry, take their role seriously and understand the immense effort required to design shows of this caliber. The judging process involved over 100 hours of review, and it wasn’t easy. Fireworks design is an art form — and even with a detailed scoring system, emotional impact and personal resonance can vary. The judges approached this responsibility with care, gratitude, and a deep respect for all of your work. If you would like personalized feedback on your show, you are welcome to contact Tim Jameson at timj@pyrojamusa.com. Due to the overwhelming number of requests, please be patient — Tim promises to respond to everyone, but it may take a little time. An overall ranking of all entries will not be released, as doing so would not fairly reflect the artistic quality or spirit of the competition. Thank you again for being part of the Finale 3D community. Keep designing, keep pushing creative boundaries — and we’ll see you on August 23rd at PyroJam!
Announcing the Finalists for the 2025 PyroJam Finale 3D Design Competition! A huge thank you to all 127 designers from 27 countries who submitted entries to this year’s competition. The creativity and caliber of the shows were nothing short of incredible. We also want to give a special shoutout to Tim Jameson, owner of Innovative Pyrotechnic Concepts (IPC Displays) and the mastermind behind the PyroJam music and fireworks festival. This year’s judging was a monumental challenge — a true testament to the quality of submissions. Many entries were worthy of a finalist spot. But in the end, only three could advance, and here they are... Simulations videos (listed by country): https://youtu.be/r4Gu-w0jniU https://youtu.be/6x_elwLsNPU https://youtu.be/sPH2LCNvQl8
