DMX Show Design Tutorial

The tutorial demonstrates how to design a show using DMX fixtures in Finale 3D.
Troubleshooting firing system “Universe” vs. “DMX universe”

There are two kinds of universes in Finale 3D. A standard "Universe", which is equivalent to a firing system, and a "DXM Universe", which is represents a set of DMX fixtures. Even though the names are similar, "Universe" and "DMX Universe" have different meanings. If a show will be produced using a single firing system controller and only needs one script file, it has a single "Universe". If a show will be produced using multiple firing system controllers and needs multiple separate script files, then it has more than one "Universe". This video tutorial demonstrates the difference between "Universe" versus "DMX Universe", and how properly configure positions to get the desired result when exporting your script.
