Welcome to the Finale 3D Pro community forum!
Here we discuss models, lancework, static and dynamic figures. How they should be in Finale 3D Pro? What technical documentation should be in the reports?

Good evening, you didn’t ask me anything. The Finale 3D development Team is not in the business of drawing models.

I do not have any free models.

You can download free models here:

    https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/
You can see an example of how you can work with models in Finale 3D Pro here:

Thank you for this video Drew Espenshade

Hi pyromania-taganrog, the Finale 3D software still does not have a built-in lance design tool but we have this on our development road map. We understand this is an important feature and we will get to it as soon as we can. The models and lancework in this discussion topic have been created by Pirotex – another member of the Finale 3D community.

    Hi ,

another way to make lanceworks is using my online tool for creating cakes and lanceworks at http://cakecreator.finale3d.de/.

here is how to do it:

1.) on the effect definitions tab enter the effects (here it should be colored lanes like red lance)

2.) on the tube fillings page draw you pattern

Draw your pattern using the defined effects

    3) On th lanceworks tab click the button ‘create lancework script’

    4) Import this script into finale (File -Import – Import ito new show – Do-i-yourself CSV file)

You don’t need a model here – the positions just use different hights without an attachment to a model.
it looks not so good as the Pirotx models , but is also an easy way to do the job

    Hope this helps

    Dirk

Thank you Dirk for the feedback on the beauty of my models. I would like to add that all my models are not just cartoons. Each model contains drawings. All models are real and have drawings to make the frames. What you will see in the program Final 3D Pro downloading my model, the same you will see in reality. This is the main thing.
    Here’s a small example –

The side-by-side example is extraordinarily impressive.  Is there a youtube video that shows how a user creates the real world lance work to match the models from Pirotex?

Yes, here’s a simple lesson that anyone can repeat. The main thing, do not be afraid of the montage foam, draw the line calmly, without jerks, you will succeed!

The frame is lightweight and strong enough. The video shows all the steps of making it. To start, you need a picture, a jpeg file with the outline of the model Pirotex. According to this contour (line) you will blow out the foam. You can change the scale of the JPG file at:
    https://rasterbator.net
After scaling you need to remove the blank (without a drawing) pages from the PDF file. Print the PDF file on a printer. And start making the frame.
From one can of mounting foam, you can make a line length of 12 to 16 meters ( 39 to 52 ft.)
If you have a multimedia projector, you can not print on a printer, but project the image on the ground, and along the line of projection blow out the montage foam.

Thank you, this video is a great tutorial.  Your models have smooth lines of lances perfectly spaced out in the curves.  Your video explains how you do it with foam.  I haven’t seen that technique before.  Thank you.

Thank you. I hope that this method of making the frame, whoever tries it, will like it. Before I realized I needed to use foam, I made frames out of wood, out of metal tape, out of aluminum tubing, on metal mesh, on perforated metal sheets, cut the outline out of plywood, attached the lance to plywood sheets…well, my journey was long. Here is another important psychological point, many people watch the video, and begin to mentally tell themselves that the foam is fragile, it is not reliable, they come up with any excuses to stay with their favorite framework, such as a tree. I can only say one thing for sure – if you once switched to the assembly foam, you will not only get a quality picture, you will never go back to your frame technology.

I forgot the most important thing, to thank the developers of Final 3D Pro for the opportunity to create realistic models, see how they look at different angles at different distances, to select the color. Thank you!
