Bravo au 3 selectionné. I wanted to know if it was possible to have comments from the jury to be able to improve for the next edition
Hello everyone My name is Shawn im from canada. A little late doing the intro here haha. Been shooting consumer shows since 2015 and recently got into the professional side I love fireworks and am always trying to learn new things.
Congratulations to everyone involved, especially Uros Petrovic, Patrick Sheeder, and Nick Archer! And huge thanks to Tim Jameson and the entire PyroJam and Finale crews!
Announcing the three finalists for the 2024 edition of the PyroJam Finale 3D design competition! Thank you to all 108 designers from 25 countries around the world who entered this year’s competition. The caliber and creativity of the shows was simply incredible. Also, a shout out to Tim Jameson, owner of IPC Displays, the mastermind behind the PyroJam music and fireworks festival. The judges faced a nearly impossible challenge – a testament to the quality of the show entries, numerous of which are worthy of a spot in the finals. But, in the end, there can be only three, and they are… Simulations videos (listed in order by show title): Competition Scores & Judging Feedback Please know that the judges take their role very seriously. As members of the professional fireworks community, they know the amount of time and effort required to design shows of this caliber. The judging team collectively spent over a hundred hours to reach their verdict and it was not easy. Like any other art form, judging a firework show objectively is extremely difficult. Even with a precise scoring system, the emotional response and extent to which a show resonates will be different from person to person. Judging is also a privilege, and the judges want all competitors to know that was a privilege and an honor to see so many excellent shows. If you would like to receive a critique on your show from the judges, you may contact Tim Jameson (timj@pyrojamusa.com). Due to the massive response, we just kindly ask that you please wait patiently for a reply. Tim promises to respond to everyone, it may just take some time. An overall ranking of all show entries is not planned for release. Doing so would not accurately reflect the quality of the shows or be in the spirit of the competition. Thank you for being a member of the Finale 3D community, keep up the great work and see you on August 24th at PyroJam!
You’re most welcome! Thanks for letting us know the fix is working on your machine.
Thanks for posting! By right clicking on an effect, you can edit it using the effect editor. This will allow you to adjust parameters that control a comet’s trajectory including height, duration, and wind friction. For example, if you reduce the duration of the comet, the launch speed will be increased to get the comet to the same height in less time. This will cause the flight path to be straighter. However, because the environment in Finale 3D is designed to simulate the real world, it’s not possible to turn off gravity.
How to adjust the comet’s orbit. To fly in a straight line without turning due to the influence of gravity, I want the path to be straight
Good news, until yesterday I couldn’t see the previews. Today I installed the beta version 2024.03.16-c7e05825f and it is fixed. Great job finale team, thank you
