I have been encountering the same issue with any 3d maps.  Black box on the map with both high and low detail 3d.  2d Google maps works.  I've tried everything within Finale3D to try to correct it.  Restarting, new show, reinstalling finale3d and still the same result.

Hi Jakob Hatteland Kjemi AS,   I did some tests, and this appears to be a global issue with 3D Google Maps. I'm not sure if this is a Finale issue or a Google issue — we are investigating.

Reply To: Racks, setting modules to specific racks and elevating racks on positions

Hey Pyro_51170000,   To elevate a rack, you'll need an elevated position. So, if you have some effects on the ground and some elevated effects, you'll need two positions. Don't worry, this doesn't mean you necessarily need two modules. Positions can each have their own dedicated slats while the module itself is "shared" between the positions. This is accomplished using "sections". A section is the set of positions that share a module or modules. You can also pre-assign specific mod-slat (rail) combinations to your positions. This typically isn't necessary, but it's tool option you have at your disposal.   Here are some resources for you from the Finale 3D Help Center: Video tutorial: Towers and Elevated Positions Video tutorial: Sharing fireTEK modules and slats across multiple positions Documentation: The Start Module, and Pre-Assigned Rails fields on positions Video tutorial: Fixing wiring errors caused by 'Pre-assigned rails'

Hi Jakob Hatteland Kjemi AS,   Google has been experiencing server outages over the past 24 hours. I’m not sure if the outages affect 3D map data but it seems plausible. Do you encounter the same issue for different locations? For example, does the 3D map download properly if you select La Ronde in Montreal, Quebec, Canada?

Reply To: Custom Report Remove Header?

Hi Jonathan S.,   It's not currently possible to remove the header on reports. As a workaround, you could save your report as an XLSX file instead of PDF. This would allow you to open the report in Excel, which give you more editing flexibility outside of Finale 3D versus PDF.   You can save reports in several file formats, here's a post with more details: https://finale3d.com/groups/english/forum/topic/can-i-import-product-list-as-csv/#post-1318822

Hi,   We have trouble using 3D maps. 2D works fine, but 3D shows only black.

I second this idea as right now I edit all of my slices to "other" so I can filter them and its a pain.   Thanks!

Racks, setting modules to specific racks and elevating racks on positions

Good afternoon. Forgive me if this has been addressed (pun intended) but I didn't see it when I searched.   I have already begun choreographing my show and realized I want to make sure 1 - 16 cue rail is assigned to a specific rack on each of my 5 positions since they will be elevated 12 feet but I do not want to start all over and there will be some multiple effects on the elevated racks. I use Firetek system and want to avoid scab wire and the like. I use hobbyist version and also cannot find out how to make 16 shot racks for single shot items which shoot 8 each horizontally. (First time using this effect) And finally I don't see how to elevate just one rack within a position to a height. Is there a way I missed in tutorials on how to have one rail of a module in a separate position?

Thank you Drew...this is EXACTLY the info I was looking for. Somehow...I missed reading chapter 28 of addressing. I don't know how, but I did.   Follow up question: The Custom Script Field can be used as a sorting qualifier. Can the Notes, Notes2, Notes3 fields be used in the same manner? If so...I can see some powerful custom sorting options available to drive specific orders of addressing, which is what I'm looking for.   Copy all on the manual addressing for the sequencers (firing same pin multiple times)...that is what I assumed.   Also, I'm running into large issues with racking. I sent an email...   -Russ
