About the event time format

Is there anyway to change event time format in script window to Fps30 hh:mm:ss:ff format?

Yes, we have many improvements planned for lighting and DMX. Among them are adding support for ramps, fades, and blends, and improved simulations and atmospherics.   Spotlights will certainly look higher then 10 feet in the real world on a dark night filled with smoke, You can adjust the height of a light effect by editing the height column in the effects window.   and why is it so difficult to make a light move to where i want it, when i want it, I should basically be able to use key frames for stuff like that. You can directly edit the pan and tilt columns in the script window help achieve the desired movements. Although, you can’t change both pan and tilt in the movement. Moving head capabilities will improve drastically once we add support for a ramps.   Also, I understand gobo simulation would a be a real PITA to add for every supported fixture, but there really should be an option to add in a solid color as a place holder. Great idea.   Is there even a way to make a light stay on for a specific amount of time without making a custom effect? Yes, all light effects have variable durations. Even separate instances of the same effect can have different durations. You can change the duration of any light effect by dragging the end cap on the effect’s timeline duration bar or you can enter the desired duration directly into the duration column in the script window. The script window has colorful puzzle pieces icons in the upper right corner. These icons change the layout of the window for different workflows. One of them is dedicated to lighting and helps by displaying columns that are useful when scripting lifts and other DMX effects.

Hi Barehm,   what an interesting project !  What should be the input for the vdl creation ? Text, prictures or videos ?  Maybe you can share your ideas and progress here. Maybe i can help with data ! Dirk

Hi Barehm,   I’ve experimented with writing VDL using various GPT models and ChatGPT Custom “GPTs” and the aspect is promising, but I haven’t ended up with anything genuinely worthwhile due to lack of time I’ve been able to invest in such a project and lack of truly proper model training from the ground up. However, I’d be very interested if you have good progress with such an endeavor.

LLMs / GPT-4o to write VDL

Has anyone had any luck with LLMs helping write VDL?  Before I start down this path, thought I’d check if anyone has played around with various public/private options yet.

Hello,   This worked momentarily, it allowed me to load the login screen but came up with an error which I assumed was my access being revoked by the company. I checked today and my access hasn’t been changed, and it’s back to ‘Not Responding’ on the ‘one minute, please’ page.

This the total angle from left to right. You can use the VDL term Degrees to change the fan angle.   For example: 35mm 13 Shot 100 Degrees Red Comet Cake Fan Cake (1 Row)   Using 100 Degrees in the VDL description of the cake changes the fan angle from 60° to 100.
