I am scripting for my big show next year, and I am including 2 spinning wheels and several line rockets. I have dug through the effects lists I have as well as played around in creating them, but nothing quite captures what I am going to be doing. Anyone have any suggestions or help?
Hello FInale Community, I still continue t struggle to track my inventory across several shows. I have used the remaining inventory feature and that helps with usage. My background in in electric wholesale supply. There is a method in this industry developed by the organization call NAED that has standardized inventory ID database. So a standard item such as 1/2" Electric metallic tubing (EMT) has a standard catalog number across all manufacturers. I am wondering if something like this exists for the fireworks industry. For example a blue peony is made by virtually every manufacturer. What I ma looking for is a DB to provide the same catalog number for a blue peony whether it's made by Lidu, Dominator, Wizard, T-SKY, Flower King or whoever the manufacturer is. As it stands my inventory has as many as 6 different blue peony product ID #s items from different manufacturers. Maybe this exists and I haven't found it yet. Let me know. Very interesting, thanks for sharing.
Hello Drew, I dd contact Cobra Firing and we were provided two options. 1) we could simply restart the script running and wait for the moment when the show was stopped. In this case, it was at the 14:32 mark of the ~19-minute show. The script would run and fire all the cues that had already been fired and when it reached the unfired portion, it would start firing them. Or 2) we could go into FInale and find the exact spot in the script, based on all returned products, where the interruption occurred. Then delete all of the cues previous to interruption. Next copy the remaining unfired cues and move them to the start of the timeline. BY doing this we could start the show immediately instead of waiting the14 minutes for the script to run. The secret to the 2nd option is to NOT READDRESS THE SHOW. This way all of the cues and positions remained labeled as it was originally, and we were able to simply reload the show and it ran and shot the remaining cues without a hitch. Thanks Bryan Bee Lake Productions
Hi, we know, some of you use the Custom Script field for some special addressing scenarios or for special report requests or information. However, this is a manual process and we would like to make it easier , to fill this column based on your needs (or maybe add other columns). For example one customer is inserting here the number of the rack row to print labels for rows in the rack with angles and other information. So please tell us , how you use the custom script field !. What kind of information did you write in the field and what task are you solving with the column. Any answer is welcome and help us to improve the software ! Dirk
Can we get annotation on rack diagrams of what is in the tube? Effect description would be great, though custom script field, size, or type might be handy too. Is there a way to view more than one position in rack window? I find that I'm working on 2 mirroring positions and it would be nice to look at / work one those together.
Hi Pyrovision, try going to the Show (menu) > Show settings > Set angle format...
Hi, Im sure this questions has been asked before but... We use Euorpla boards / angles for single shots. Finale's '0' degree is '90' degrees on Europla. How do I change the angles in Finale to represent this? Thanks in advance.
Hi Pyro_53020000, Yes, labels are extremely customizable in the Pro version of Finale 3D. If you have Lite or Hobbyist, you are limited to the built-in label templates. To learn about the label customization options, see: https://finale3d.com/documentation/labels-basic-instructions Here's an example of a customized Avery 5260 label template with Event Time.
Is there a way to have the event time printed on the labels? Thanks Jacob Summers
