Hi Drew- have you seen this post yet? I was hoping for a response.
Chris ODell wrote: Drew, Glad to see that has been added! I assume this is for Pro only, not the Hobbyist version? Finale 3D Hobbyist is able to calculate the number of racks needed for a show based on the types of effects, angles, etc. This is true for all kinds of effects and racks, including multi-load CraigCo racks. However, the Hobbyist version doesn't provide rack layout diagrams and consequently, is not able to optimize the addressing of a show based on the layout of the racks. Finale 3D Pro calculates rack quantities, provides custom visual rack layouts, optimizes addresses based on the rack layout, and provides printed diagrams, like the brand new hybrid rack diagram + script report shown below.
Submitted a show this year! I regretted not finishing one last year, so I made sure to get it done this time. Had a "blast" putting it together. Good luck to everyone competing!

They explode way before the selected cue. Thank you. We did update a number of effects in the catalog but the changes were limited to shell heights, and the adjustment for most items was very minor. The updates shouldn't be causing what you're seeing — we'll take a look and follow up as soon as possible.

Thank you Drew for your answer !

If I understand correctly, we cannot do letters with single shot for example ? Or it’s just concerned the direction toward or away the audience ? In resume if we do letters verticaly, does it allowed ? Thank’s. P-A Effects may not be fired toward or away from the audience. This prevents you from doing "matrix" letters. However, there are no restrictions on firing patterns or left/right angles, which means there is no rule against vertical letters. In other words, vertical letters are allowed.

There are no plans whatsoever to change the location, but of course it's possible that the event could move in the future depending on several factors. 2. Can anyone go to the shoot, or is it for entrants only? (I only live a couple hrs away and would love to bring my family out to watch it) Yes, ANYONE and EVERYONE can attend PyroJam. Come and bring 10,000 of your best friends. https://www.pyrojamusa.com/ 3. For next year…can I just use my Hobbyist license or do I HAVE to upgrade to the PRO version? Thanks! -Russ You can use Hobbyist to design a PyroJam show, but you'll be missing out on some great features that are only available in Pro. If Pro license upgrades are free again next year (as they have been every year), why not take advantage!?
