It is different to the supplier videos I found where the effect shows up immediately. Is there any chance that you can fix that? And something seems to be wrong with the Red star with white glitter mine (RA141012). It shoots into the sky like a shell. Thank you! You’re correct, there were actually (2) single shots which had the incorrect height on them (the RA141012 being one of them). These are fixed now. The double crackling flower shells have been fixed as well. Thanks for the catch.

In the product catalog it states that they are 20mm. And i think there might be a small mistake with the simulation or the product description of RA141023, it says that it’s a blue mine but it looks like a brocade mine in the simulation. Thanks in advance! Kind regards, Darrin Wolfs. Hi Darrin, while they physically fit in the rack we use, they would sit so deep inside it would make the effect much dimmer than it should be (as well as get very hot down inside the aluminum holder). Please keep devices used on the tower or wheel positions to gerbs and single shot devices 30mm or smaller. I took a look at the RA141023 and believe this is one I fixed yesterday, try a quick re-sync and make sure it’s working properly now.

Abbiamo risolto il problema. Vai su File > Sincronizza con la rete per aggiornare il catalogo e poi li troverai nell’elenco dei filtri a discesa Sottotipo . Thanks so much Drew!

HII Drew Can you tell me how to find the artifices with the acronym “CP”? in the PyroJam effects catalog there are only ss comet, ss mine, and ss comet w/mine
Emanuele wrote: I have read all the specifics of the case and I wanted to ask for clarification on the types of effects that I cannot understand. In the “Prox” stations SS Comet-CP and SS Mine-CP can be used, while in the “Front” stations both SS Comet and SS Mine and SS Mine CP and SS Comet CP, my question is: what is the difference between SS Mine/Comet and SS Mine/Comet-CP? What does the acronym “CP” which differentiates the two effects mean? “CP” stands for “Close Proximity”. This is the English designation for pyrotechnic items that can be safely fired at a short distance from an audience. Because the “Prox” row of firing positions is close to the PyroJam audience, only comets and mines that include CP in their Subtype can be fired safely from these positions. Items that do not have CP in their Subtype are too large or have other characteristics that make them unsafe to shoot from the Prox positions.
Sascha wrote: Hi Drew, hi Tim! 1. The effect-time in the simulation of the 1sec Fireballs (RA8120, RA8121, RA8122, RA8123) is looking so long! According to the product-videos from Raccoon they are all more like a flash! Is there an opportunity to fix it in the effect-catalogue? I would like to use them and I think live they’re looking really cool and should work as a quick accent, but they might destroy the simulation/rendered Video completely because of the very long lasting effect-time! 2. Are only those gerbs on the two towers allowed which show up by typing in “gerbs”? Or are color fountains, flame pots and other ground effects (except salutes, bursts etc.) also allowed? 3. Is it allowed to shoot towards the trees if the effect is angled steep / high enough? So when I don‘t hit the 3D-trees in the preview, it‘s good for you? Thanks for your reply! Best regards Sascha Great questions Sascha, here are the answers: 1) The devices we have are from the very first production run from Raccoon and they are long (about 1 sec to slightly longer in duration). After feedback from us, they changed them so they are more instant (which is what we wanted originally). Unfortunately, we haven’t gotten any of the newer batch yet so we created the sim based on how they perform in real life. 2) The towers are limited to just items which are labled “gerbs” or “single shots” since they fit in the racks which we use on the towers. The fountains, flames, bursts, etc will not fit in our racks and would be much more difficult to mount. As you can imagine with a setup this large, we try to keep things as logistically simple as possible while still allowing for as much creativity as possible. 3) Yes, items may be shot towards the outer sides of the field, but need to be angled so that they do not end up IN the trees as you suggest. Hopefully this answers your questions and thank you for participating in the competition.
