If you get an error saying VCRUNTIME140_1.dll was not found when you try to run Finale 3D, you can fix the error by downloading and installing the latest Visual C++ Redistributable package from Microsoft. Here is a link to the download page: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist The Microsoft page provides three architecture options. Please choose the one that matches the architecture of your system. If you aren’t sure, download and install the X64 package. As soon as you complete the installation, Finale 3D should run normally.
Hi, I discovered a possible bug. I have a show where I entered only the prices of the effects in the effects file, not the cost. I wanted to add also the cost which is 25% lower. So, what I did is that I exported the table to excel, created a formula to multiply the price by .75, and re-imported the output csv into the same effects file. However, some of the effect costs had a three digit decimal part (e.g. 5.325). As the result Finale3D calculated the total cost of the show wrong. When I realized where the issue was, I was able to get around it by using excel’s TEXT() function and limiting the number of decimals. However, I consider this as a bug.
Is there a way to create a suspended waterfall simulation? The sim for ’76’s product SE441A just looks like a standard gerb. Thanks!
Introducing Daytime Fireworks Dear Final3D Community As daytime fireworks and smoke effects are becoming increasingly popular, especially in Europe, I thought it would be a great idea to have such a feature. Some Key Features: Creative Customization: Choose from an array of captivating effects, colors, and patterns to design stunning visuals that suit the tone and theme of your event. Easily integrate Daytime Fireworks into your existing visual projects, ensuring a smooth and effortless workflow. I have brought along an image that I have edited myself.

The custom effect editor seems to have changed significantly on recent releases. Is there an update to the guide showing which terms got consolidated? It seems like there used to be more twirl down menus, and now I’m getting disoriented on customizing some of these sparks.
Ability to change the angle colours on labels from RED/GREEN to make it easier for colour blind people
Can anyone help me get the vdl for this shell working? It’s a single shell with 20 flashes in. I tried to build it as a shell of shells, but just can’t get it to work.
Doesn’t need to be perfect, I’ve been playing around with modifying a falling leaves effect but my effect editor skills are lacking. Have a client that wants at least a passable sim of a confetti option we are proposing (along with plenty of pyro in other area of the venue)
