Hello, I am new to Finale 3D, but I’ve been able to program a couple songs already. I am struggling with cakes that have tails on the launch then break into aerial displays. I’ve tried switching out “&”, “+”, and “with” to no avail. I am including a link to a cake I am trying to make and the first 3 shots have tails as they launch. Does anyone have any tips on how to recreate this? Also, is there a glossary of effects that Finale 3D recognizes in VDL? I saw a link in the documentation, but it throws an error when I click it. Thanks in advance! https://youtu.be/4jtEaMOxgmM
Hi Ron, we’re making good progress on effect improvements, and leveraging the improvements to flesh out supplier catalogs. I still don’t have a precise release date yet but we’re pushing to get it done as soon as possible.
Thanks for the great report. We are investigating this issue and will get it fixed as soon as possible.

Your observation that the simulation appears as though you were trying to create a long exposure photo is exactly right. The problem is that the setting your show that controls the camera duration was somehow changed to a value greater than zero. I’m not sure how it could have happened, but it’s very easy to fix. All you have to do is go to Window > Per-show settings window, then search for cameraExposureDuration and change the value to 0. Hello Drew, actually it’s strange, it happened after having created photos of the show. I did what you told me and it works everything is back to normal, thank you very much! Good day Drew, see you soon!
Great shows finalists! Thanks to Tim and Drew and the Finale crew for allowing us all to participate in this fantastic contest!

hello, PI’m contacting you because I’m having a big problem on one of my shows, it doesn’t read correctly anymore, it’s jerky like we wanted to take a picture! Can you help me please. Noé
<cross posted from Facebook group> Is anyone else having issues with the ‘Set ground to Google map’ option ? Started a new show this AM and went to set the ground image and get nothing. No google map box, nothing. Additionally, once I try to use this option nothing else works. I can click on top menu bar options but nothing responds. It’s not fully hung up, just cannot do anything as if it’s waiting for input on the map option that I cannot provide. The only way I can recover is to kill off Finale in task manager and reopen. Additional info: Been using Finale Pro on this laptop for 2+ years with no issues, updates are limited to security and critical only and are not automatic License is current and activated on this system This issue just started and I can recreate on the current full release (4-13-4580cd02a) and tried rolling back to the previous beta (4-110c7bdbd874) with same issue Interestingly, shows that I have imported a map into still load the map properly. They were created on the same system.
