Hi ,   another way to make lanceworks is using my online tool for creating cakes and lanceworks at http://cakecreator.finale3d.de/. here is how to do it:   1.) on the effect definitions tab enter the effects (here it should be colored lanes like red lance) 2.) on the tube fillings page draw you pattern     3) On th lanceworks tab click the button 'create lancework script' 4) Import this script into finale (File -Import - Import ito new show - Do-i-yourself CSV file) You don't need a model here - the positions just use different hights without an attachment to a model. it looks not so good as the Pirotx models , but is also an easy way to do the job Hope this helps Dirk

We understand this is an important feature and we will get to it as soon as we can. The models and lancework in this discussion topic have been created by Pirotex - another member of the Finale 3D community.

The Finale 3D development Team is not in the business of drawing models. I do not have any free models. You can download free models here: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/ You can see an example of how you can work with models in Finale 3D Pro here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRx5h5EpqdU Thank you for this video Drew Espenshade

How to Store Your Effects Offline

Did you know that you don't need an internet connection to use Finale 3D? After each successful online login, you can login offline for 2 weeks by unchecking 'Sync with network' at the login screen. You can add songs offline, render videos offline, the only thing you can't do while offline is access online libraries, like supplier catalogs and your personal 'My Effects' collection. However, even this isn't a limitation because you can save your effects offline too. All you need to do is make an (fdb) effect file and save it locally on your computer.
