I am looking to see if there is a solution to the scaling issue that I’m experiencing. On my extension monitor the menu bar icons are extremely large both bars on top take up a lot of space and the drop-down menus no longer scroll, there is an arrow to move the menu up and down. On the main monitor the font is so small it’s hard to read, I’ve zoomed it using the Ctrl button but then the menus are so large the text goes beyond the window. This is new since I’ve changed computers, I’ve adjusted aspect and ratios with no luck. Please advise. Thank you Wick
Thank you, that is exactly what I need… you’re the best one
Hi UNICUS Pyro/FX, welcome to the Finale 3D community! I love the photos in your gallery, looks like you’re doing some awesome shows. The “Track” column in the Finale 3D script window is used to fill both the ‘Sequence’ and ‘Sequence Name’ columns in fireTEK script files. You can unhide the Track column in the script window by going to the blue gear ⚙️ > Hide or unhide a column > Track. fireTEK track values can be integers 0-99 or letters followed by integers in that range (example: “1” and “Trk1” are both okay). For more details, visit the ‘Tracks’ section in Table 2 of our fireTEK documentation. Tip: Track numbers can also be set by going to Script (menu) > Tacks > Set track…
What about an effect like an willow palm that has gold strobing tail? Peach Strobing Willow Palm is how I would normally write it… would I just write it as Gold tipped strobing willow palm then?
Curtis B wrote: Just curious, I know the color “Peach” somewhat works for gold strobing effects, but when is “Gold” going to be turned into a color vs. an descriptor/editing term? Gold implies stars with trails of gold sparks. Gold Tip implies gold colored start without trails of sparks. For example, 3″ Gold Tip Strobing. References: VDL colors Glossary of VDL Effect Terms
Finale 3D doesn’t simulate colored daytime smoke effects yet. We are working hard to add this effect as soon as we can. In the meantime, some Finale 3D users have come up with creative ways to make effects that look pretty convincing using the effect editor. For example, check out this post: https://finale3d.com/groups/english/forum/topic/finale-3d-smoke-mine-streamer-confetti/
TKFX, thanks for sharing!
Hi Jonathan S., to make formatting adjustments to the printed rack layout diagrams, go to the blue gear ⚙️ in the upper-right corner of the racks window > Create or edit rack diagram template > select the template you would like to edit. In the configuration dialog, you’ll need to scroll down using your mouse wheel or the scroll function on your touchpad to get to the ‘Rack layout diagram settings’ section. Here are some settings to try: • By default, the diagrams are centered around the position, try centering the diagrams around the ‘Center of racks’ • If your rack layouts are typically wider than they are tall, try changing the page orientation from Portrait to Landscape • If the above to settings don’t enlarge the racks enough, try setting the ‘Width’ option to a negative value Tip: best practice is to enter a new, personalized blueprint ‘Name’ and ‘Title’ in the configuration dialog. This will create a new blueprint instead of changing the built-in rack_layout_diagrams blueprint. The set of colors that represent the module/pin numbers are predefined and currently can’t be changed.
Hi, Is it possible to reproduce the daytime smoke single shots and simulate a daytime show? Thank you so much.
