DrewFinale replied to the topic PRE-MADE SHOWS FOR SALE?
Hey pyro61319810, welcome to the Finale 3D community and thanks for the great question!
The short answer is that there really is not a marketplace for “off-the-shelf” show scripts. The main reason is because almost every fireworks show is inherently custom.
A fireworks script is tightly tied to many real-world factors that change from show…Read More

This is a slice I want to use that is not in finale RA142026 gold spinning tail w/red strobe and blue star. I am trying to create this effect, but can’t get the VDL to make the spinning tail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

DrewFinale replied to the topic Labels

For anyone else reading along, that option applies colors automatically based on the firing angle direction (for example, green for left-aiming, black for straight up, red for right-aiming, blue for upward but turned 180°).
Label formatting o…Read More

DrewFinale replied to the topic Chain of cannister shells, accounting for burn time of first fuse
Hey MikeG, for custom chains (where the shells are loose and you’re fusing/chaining them together when prep your show), the standard workflow is to add the individual shells to the timeline, then go to Script > Chains > Combine as chain.
The problem is that this workflow doesn’t support a delay before the first shell on the chain. But not to…Read More

DrewFinale replied to the topic Mouse hover over is disruptive while editing a show.
Hi Patrick,
The horizontal scroll bar below the timeline doesn’t have any kind of hover-to-scroll behavior, so there isn’t a setting you can disable. What you’re describing is almost certainly a case where the scroll bar gets “latched” to the mouse because Finale 3D isn’t detecting the mouse-up event. In other words, an inadvertent click or to…Read More
