Eric G replied to the topic custom simulation height
The primary variable that affects height is the diameter of the shell. Â But you can modify this by using a HTM value (height in meters).
Specifying the height, duration, and fan angle of effects in the cake (HTM, DUR, Degrees)

Eric G replied to the topic 1.4g mortar timing
The main influences to “effect time” is shell diameter and Pre Fire Time (PFT). Finale is pretty good at estimating lift time based on the shells diameter. PFT is dependent on your ignition method. If you are matching/Talon(ing) onto the visco leader of a consumer shell your PFT would need to be set to set to an average burn time for the leader…Read More

They are still working on the DMX Fixture visualizations… I believe if you are using the latest BETA version you can change the VDL to display PAR, Spotlight, etc., plus you can use descriptors, like “Dim”, “Bright”, “Very Bright”… For example here is the VDL for a par light set to display green: “Bright Green Par Light”, with the Effect Ty…Read More

Eric G replied to the topic Moving Head Fixture Issue
Will,
This is how I manually fixed the issue by editing the script directly. On the move-in-black I started at 192 (which is effectively 406 degrees or once around plus 45 degrees).
Then the red Move-to goes “down” to 149 (from 192, which is about a 90 degree arc).

Eric G replied to the topic Cobra Error 5 when loading Finale3d Export
Not had that error before.
Check list:
1. Re address show. You might have added a cake or shell and forgot to re-address the show. This would leave the event “orphaned”, with no module/pin.
2. When exporting selected cobra w/correct 18r2 Firmware version?
Have you examined the CSV file to see what row might be the issue?

Eric G replied to the topic Moving Head Fixture Issue
Well… I got a solution working, but I had to manually edit the exported script. I had to edit the starting position (MOVE IN BLACK) pan to go around past 360 (DMX value 192) then the Move to (DMX value 149) doesn’t cause the head to spin around backwards.
