Reply To: export finale script for depence R4 ??

Hi Pyro_Cyril, Finale 3D currently doesn't directly import/export to/from Depence. Finale 3D exports script files formated for about 40 different firing systems. Finale 3D also has other export capabilities including Finale Generic CSV which is the full show export format. Additionally, any data from the Finale 3D script window can be exported.

Reply To: Create Effect Question

I'm not familiar with this effect. Do you have a photo or a video you could share?

Reply To: Exporting DMX script for Fireone

FireOne is very much actively developing the DMX capabilities for their system. It could be that something has changed on the FireOne side since we implemented the FireOne CSV script format. Of course, it could also be a bug on the Finale 3D side.   If you send your show to support@finale3d.com, we would be happy to take a look. If nothing seems out of place in Finale 3D, the next step would be to loop in FireOne for some help.

Reply To: Webinar or session on creating racks

Hey EhrlichFire, I would love to do a webinar on racking and addressing but I don't have concrete plans for when that will happen.   In the meantime, send me photos of your racks and I'll help you create them in Finale 3D. If you have Pro and need help creating rack layout diagrams, addressing, and loading racks, send me your show (.fin) file along some some specifics about where you're getting stuck and I'll give you a hand.

Reply To: Is there a place to share consumer cakes, created for Finale 3D?

Supplier catalogs are the best resource for product simulations at the moment. They don't cover every brand and every distributor yet but more and more are being added every week. You can enable catalogs in Finale 3D by going to File > Catalogs of effects. You can enable catalogs on finale3d.com by going to My Account > Supplier Catalog Settings.   If you can't find what you need in the catalogs, send your product list to support@finale3d.com and we'll add them to the queue!

Hi Pyro_Cyril,   What firing system are you using? Will the four shows be controlled with timecode or will you start each show by pressing a button on the firing system?

How would you do?

Hi,   I design a scene for a show that I need to run 4 times in a day. i was wondering if it would be possible to plug all my effect at the first show (for all the 4th shows) and change the program in order to avoid the reload between 2 shows, cause I will probably not have the time to do it. this will be in a theatre only with interior products like gerb, mine, flare, etc … how would you do that ?

Reply To: MP3 audio issues (static, crackling, popping, clicking) when importing songs into Finale 3D

Hey PyroDan, the MP3 audio artifact issue is a bug in the way Finale 3D currently handles MP3 files. We will fix it eventually, but we haven’t prioritized it because WAV is uncompressed (highest quality) and works 100% of the time if it is formatted properly. Finale 3D supports WAV files with a sample rate of 44,100 Hz (44.1 kHz) and bit depth of 16-bit. If you format your WAV files with these specs., it should work perfectly in Finale 3D every time.
