Hi Mark, At this moment, Finale 3D doesn't have a built-in report that shows total net explosive mass/quantity (NEQ). However, in all versions of Finale 3D, any table window (such as the Effect window or Script window) can be copied and pasted to Excel. Once in Excel, it would be easy to sum the NEQ column to get the total. In the Pro version of Finale 3D, reports and labels are extremely customizable. Here's a video tutorial that demonstrates how to create a custom report that provides total NEQ by Hazard Class: https://www.loom.com/share/0f6b9de4145c4da9b44feaff29decaf9 Regarding equipment, Finale 3D currently only reports rack quantities. The exception is Lite, which doesn't have racks. In Hobbyist or Pro, try 'File > Reports > Basic reports > Rack Totals'. A report that can include other equipment like controllers, modules and e-matches will be possible later this year.
Is there a report or window that gives me the total NEQ for a show ? and a report that gives me total equipment ? Thanks Mark.
Create a new position and define as DMX Fixture. Look for the "Generic Light FIxture (ON/OFF)" under the Fixture Type...
Where or how can I put a single channel fixture in my show to turn a confetti machine (Dmx)on and off at different times? I have read this article but don’t understand how to find that type fixture (Generic Light Fixture ON/OFF) how do I ge this ? thanks
They are still working on the DMX Fixture visualizations... I believe if you are using the latest BETA version you can change the VDL to display PAR, Spotlight, etc., plus you can use descriptors, like "Dim", "Bright", "Very Bright"... For example here is the VDL for a par light set to display green: "Bright Green Par Light", with the Effect Type set to "LIGHT".
All of the DMX effects are showing as gerbs or just lift, and when you select "move in black" it just shows a gerb at 90 degrees? I think I'm just missing a setting or something... Thanks Raven,
Hi OH PA PYRO, please send your show (.fin) file to support@finale3d.com and I'll take a look. If the file is too large to attach to an email, save a copy of your show and remove the soundtrack to reduce the file size.
So I have not had this problem in the past when checking this option. For some reason my I can not get my single shot racks to be addressed in order. Starting with 01 in the left rear and moving down each row in order. I have tried many different order of assignments but it seems like no matter what I do the order of assignment for each single shot jumps around. I have attached a picture to show the problem since my explanation may not be the greatest. Any help will be appreciated!
Hi EhrlichFire, the 'Available' quantities will only change if you a) manually adjust them, or b) do 'Effects > Subtract used quantities from available...'
Hi EhrlichFire, when pasting from one show to another, the position coordinates and orientations don't matter. If the names of the positions match identically, the effects will go into the existing positions. If the names of the positions don't match, new positions will be added automatically.
