Anybody have feedback on the new filter/selectors UI of effects window in beta?

The latest beta holds the menus open without requiring shift-click, to make multi-select easier, and it creates clickable and deletable buttons ("hotdogs") to reduce the number of clicks required to switch between different colors or other attributes.  Does anyone have feedback on these changes, positive or negative?

Hi Pyro_3200000, sorry I didn't see this before now.  Why would you need to change the pre-fire time on any of the instant cake slices?

Hi Kevin, The difference between IPS and VA mostly come down to a matter of personal preference. I see online that VA has better contrast ratio but worse overall range/gamut compared to IPS. There won't really be a huge difference, especially if you are viewing your monitor in a room that is 'normally lit'.  If you are setting up your viewing environment so that the room is very dark, then the better blacks on VA panels might be nicer for viewing our simulations, since fireworks displays are mostly on a black background.   The big thing to watch for in the future is when HDR1000 monitors become generally available. There are a few out there, but they are pretty expensive:  https://displayhdr.org/certified-products/#tab-1000   I haven't looked in a long time until today, but I see that there are some being sold on Amazon now.  They're pricey, but perhaps within your budget if "high end nvidia" means 30x0 :).   Last time I looked, everything out there with HDR1000 was $6k+.   I don't have one yet, but when I get my hands on one, it should only be a little bit of work to support it.  I implemented ACES tonemapping in our graphics engine, and it has defined output profiles for standard SRGB displays, and 1000 nit displays, but nothing in between.   (The DisplayHDR specs below 1000 are 'nice', I have an HDR400 monitor right now, but they basically mean "really good SRGB monitors", they are not a fundamental difference like the HDR1000+ specs are.)

Hi Rovira, I think I understand. You to select and move multiple songs and all the events (on the selected songs) simultaneously, is that right? Is there any reason you can't move the songs individually?

The thing is when I do this, even if i'm selecting more than one song at the time it only let me select the effects for the first song I selected, but the effects for the rest of the songs do not move when I drag along the different songs I selected. Only the effects on the first song move automatically when I move the songs together, the effects for the other songs keep on the same place they were.

Hi Rovira, first go to Music > Songs > Options and enable 'Songs drag along events when moved. Then, go to Music and disable 'Lock songs in place'. Once you adjust these settings, your events on the timeline will move automatically when you move a song.

Im not sure if there is any way to select songs+effects on the timeline and move both at the same time.  I tried to multiselect songs+effects at the same time using SHIFT but effects were not moving, only the audio.

There is no angle restrictions when it comes to single shots but I would like to know if the single shot mini shells have restrictions since im not sure if you consider those shells as a single shot or a shell.   Hi Rovira, yes, that is a good question.  Since we did not address this in the rules, we will definitely not hold it against someone if they went super steep on those shots, but I would like to ask folks to refrain from firing any of the single shot mini-shells any sharper than 30 degrees off vertical as anything steeper than that would most likely create an unsafe situation given the shoot site limitations.  Hope this makes sense, but if not, please let me know and I'll try to do a better job explaining.
