I LOVED having the catalog for the Pyro Jam design. Would it be possible to continue to release more pre-made catalog designs. Also, more consumer 1.4 level fireworks. I am currently building my own effects inventory and it is such a time commitment to be building every product I buy. I don't like the placeholder cakes, even though I know they can be helpful when getting timing cues. My issue with place holders is that if I have a cake with multiple effects, I want to know/see when and where that effect is going to hit with the music. My other recommendation, and it may be possible but I don't know how to change the setting yet..... My effects inventory resets for each show I am creating. So if I have 100 of an effect, but I am designing 3 shows, it doesn't take the "used" across each of my shows. Again, this may be a settings issue that I haven't figured out!

Hi Alex,   maybe you could create and excel sheet with two columns . The first column contains  the Part Number . You can easily create it with copy and paste from your "MY Effects" in excel. Than add a second column named quantity. Put an value greater 0 in this column (of cour you could als set it to the real amount you have available). Then use the Import function File -> Import - Import effect quotas. Unhide the quota column for effect windows. Now you can sort / filter in the per show effects for effects that have no quota !   Hope this is not to complicated and helps   Hope to see you again some time this year !   Dirk

Hi Finale comunity, my name is Aleš Ham, I'm from Slovenia, I run small fireworks factory Hamex, and of course we are display operator, for more than 30 years. I'm using Finale3D, it helps me a lot, I simply convert a complex idea into a finale script and later on show into reality.

Good afternoon: First of all, my most sincere congratulations to the three qualifiers from the PHILIPPINES, TURKEY AND GERMANY. I just wanted to know where it ended up since it's the first time I've made a pyromusical with the FINALE 3D program. I am a pyrotechnics worker, I am not dedicated to design, but I think that although I have not come very far I have had a lot of fun and without hesitation I will participate again, of course without being able to do anything against the great designers. It is said that you will never go to bed without knowing something new, because I know within my possibilities to make a pyromusical, as an apprentice. Thank you very much for this opportunity you gave me. All the best

Thank you Drew. Yes, now I compare screens:     but I thought there is some trick I didn't know. The problem is that the product is not visible in "My effects", but it appears on all reports. So you don't see any red warning field (used : awailable) as missing item. Perhaps a challenge for the future?

PyroJam 2022 Competition Scores & Judging Feedback

First, once again we would like to thank everyone who expressed interest or participated in the inaugural PyroJam Finale 3D Design Competition.   With the virtual portion of the competition in the history books, a number of competitors have asked about seeing their scores from the judges, or seeing an overall ranking of the shows. These are great questions and we have the utmost admiration for the dedication and passion of our fellow pyros. If the roles were reversed, we would be asking the very same questions!   To all competitors, we do not plan to release an overall ranking of the show submissions. We feel that doing so would not accurately reflect the quality of the shows or be in the spirit of the competition. But, anyone who would like to receive the judges' critique for their show can contact Tim Jameson (timj@pyrojamusa.com). Due to the massive response, we just ask you to be patient in regards to a reply. Tim promises to respond to everyone, it may just take some time.   We want everyone to know that the judges take their role very seriously. As members of the professional fireworks community, they know the amount of time and effort required to design shows of this caliber. The judging team collectively spent over a hundred hours to reach their verdict and it was not easy. Like any other art form, judging a fireworks show objectively is almost impossible. Even with a precise scoring system, the emotional response and extent to which a show resonates will be different. Judging is also a privilege and it was certainly a privilege to see so many excellent shows. Thank you for being a member of the Finale 3D community, keep up the great work and see you on May 28th at PyroJam!
