Tip: You can login without entering your password by checking ‘Login offline’. This will also skip syncing with the network. If you need to sync after logging in offline, you can still do from the Effects window drop-down list or File > Sync with network. it’s been 2 years, are there any plans to implement this?
How to do the delayed small blue multi salute effect with Pyroland’s Forged (PYL1812) ? Is it possible with simple VDL? My go at it: 1″ 30 Shot Cake (a) Very Thin Gold Mine w/ 0.8 LFT Very Dense Strobing Gold Brocade + (b) 0.8 LFT Gold Willow w/ Small Blue Salute 6 Rows, Row 1 (1.0/aaaaa/3.0), Row 2 (2.0/bbbbb/0.2), Row 3 (2.0/aaaaa/3.0), Row 4 (2.0/bbbbb/0.2), Row 5 (2.0/aaaaa/3.0), Row 6 (2.0/bbbbb/0.2)

The VDL Glossary ( https://finale3d.com/documentation/vdl-effect-glossary/ ) is a great resource and covers VDL effects and terms. As far as I know, the only terms missing are some beta terms that were just introduced last week (and are still only in the beta release). The VDL glossary also has convenient example videos for all the different effects. Along with the VDL Glossary, there’s also a section of the software documentation dedicated to VDL that’s worth a read through for anyone who hasn’t checked those pages out. It covers VDL colors, firing patterns, general syntax, and just about everything else about VDL.

Community effect sharing needs to be integrated directly into the finale3d UI. nothing else will get user traction. Look at how easyeda does community designed parts for electronics. Literally millions of user designed parts have been shared and you can easily search for them in the UI and share them. the “user contributed” library parts here in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LDbo-jFqj0&t=90s
Hi TheNecromancer13, Are you using headphones, perhaps something with a Bluetooth or wireless connection? I ask because it’s typical to have a (varying) delay between the actual real-time streaming and the audible playback with wireless connections, especially Bluetooth headphones (often 1/2 second or more), but sometimes it isn’t noticeable until you’re trying to accurately sync audio (similar issues have caused me some frustration in the past due to wireless connections).
I have updated all drivers and the issue is still occurring. What else can I try to fix it? It is really frustrating trying to script and not being able to trust what I see and hear.

Well, that poses the question, “how big of a truck?” 🤔🙄 Thanks Drew!
EhrlichFire wrote: So, I used the “subtract Usded quantities form available, ” which worked great. Then I started a new show and we were moving along fine. I had to stop for a day. I saved and synced with the network. But while I was away for about a day, my computer restarted and when I went back to look at Available quantities, they were back to the original amounts??? Why did that happen? The only way that I can see this happening is if the sync wasn’t successful. If the sync succeeded, then your Available quantities should persist regardless of whether your computer restarts or whether it’s run over by a truck.
