SiteLayout Diagrams: I think we need more options for define the captured area for site layout diagrams and the sizes of text flags and so on. In my example attached i have a small stage area and the minimum printout area is so big or far away from what i want to show my technician. The Text Flags are quiet to big in relation to the positions size. On a printout in A4 nothing is really good readable.

Here are some questions to help us troubleshoot the problem:   1) What release of Finale 3D are you running? 2) When did the problem begin? For example, was it caused by updating Finale 3D? 3) is the preview broken if all effects in all collections? 4) Are you able to see the simulations in the main design window if you add effects to a show?

Would like to get more involved with reports. There's not a ton of examples in the blue prints. Also There's some math functions I'm trying to write out, like summing totals , where can I find more resources ?   https://finale3d.com/documentation/report-font-size/

Welcome to the Finale 3D community forum and thanks for posting!   We added a set of features for moving effects over the summer, have you tried 'Script > Insert moving effect > Insert girandola...'?       P.S. Don't forget to head over to your My Profile page to customize your Display Name and Profile Picture.

Has anyone been able to create a somewhat realist girandola effect in Finale aside from using a comet for a template?  Just not happy with any simulations I have come up with.  Comets don't seem to allow for speed of ascent.

Thanks for the feedback. We completely agree. Unfortunately, our development environment and the PDF exporter that we use doesn't support adjusting opacity or transparency.
